A series of non-profit organizations – that serve veterans – joined a meeting today in Acworth… with Cobb Collaborative leading a call to ‘do good collaboration together.’ CEO Irene Barton (in photo on left) introduced a series of speakers… that noted how more work needs to be done to ‘save veterans’ and their families. United Military Care CEO Kim Scofi (on right photo) – who was a major speaker – shared that everyone needs to explain ‘needs they have’ and seek others who can help them.
“It was a great day – and SafeAmerica salutes what Irene and Kim discussed,” noted SafeAmerica CEO Len Pagano. “We look for more opportunities since we have other non-profits – with the Colonel’s Cup Foundation, John’s Creek Veterans Association, American Legion/Post 201 in Alpharetta, VETBud, Operation RallyPoint, Warriors2Citizens and American Patriot Village, LLC – all suggesting that they would like help from us – and we can also plan to do GOOD together.”
More conversations are planned… with a meeting with the Roswell Rotary Club this Thursday at 9:30 am (in Roswell Area Park). For more details, call Steve Mason at (813)-368-0012. And, more personal meetings – like a conversation with Reanata Morris, who is a Federal Contractor for the Georgia Reserve Component Transition and its Transition Assistance Advisors. “SafeAmerica is proud to have more new friendships… and we’ll do more of our media and fundraising skills – to help others. “Hopefully, they can ‘join in,’ also – and help make events (like our golf tournament) a good ‘fundraising event’ – and a fun-raising event, also!” Len added.
