SafeAmerica is discussing with Alpharetta’s American Legion/Post 201… and is offering support to its new Commander Bob Byrd to ‘serve our veterans best.’ SafeAmerica CEO Len Pagano thanked former Commander Tom Billings for his advice and suggesting how it’s important to ‘do good together.’ So, based on his suggestion, SafeAmerica is planning more now, to serve veterans together… and need more support for mental or medical care.
SafeAmerica is also meeting this fall with American Legion in 2024… and will ask what they think will ‘do good.’ Former Army leader Roger Wise, Jr. – who is an American Legion member and also serves Rotary in Roswell – offered great advise. And, as an American Legion member, Mr. Wise evaluated SafeAmerica what it can do ‘good’ for Post 201 – including a plan to raise donations. SafeAmerica also heard from other leaders – like consultant Johnny Barrett – how to help do fundraising to reach over $1-2 Million. Beyond fundraising, SafeAmerica is also talking with other veteran non-profits – to see what they need… and think will help. An example was the founder of She Served – CEO Martina Schmidt – who explained how to help female veterans more because they have been getting more stress. Helping over 10 -15 veteran organizations in Metro Atlanta will lead more conversations – and offer more news reports – airing on YouTube’s SNN and other social media (LinkedIn, Facebook and our websites). Ultimately, SafeAmerica’s staff will explain how veterans will be helped better – getting homeless resolved… and helping some veterans also get new jobs.
“We’re proud of what veterans have served – and, how they need more help now,” Pagano said. “The American Legion knows some smart tasks… and we’ll help hem and make community citizens also serve our military heroes.”
New SafeAmerica Board of Directors will plan to serve, also. And, will seek more meetings. To offer help, call (770) – 509-7958.
