MillerCoors Suggests Renewal of ‘Welcome Home Heroes’ Event at Truist Park in 2022
Football Season Option:
Tie in to the Atlanta Falcons
What could be a valuable way to showcase Safe America’s work to help veterans?
One factor is gaining exposure in major sports’ seasons. And, to renew work done with the Atlanta Braves, Safe America recently chatted with MillerCoors and was invited to plan an event (near Memorial Day) in May 2022.
In advance, Safe America is also considering a goal this fall is to tie into the Atlanta Falcons during Sunday, December 5 – two days before ‘Giving Tuesday.’ The goal: to hi-light Safe America’s VET Tran program and gain support pre-Christmas.
Over the past 5 years, the VA Hospital had requested Safe America to provide transportation for disabled veterans. And, in 2021, the Foundation is now looking to re-start VET Tran and also provide transportation to TRICARE at Kaiser Permanente locations.
“We’re pleased to see COVID’s decline allowing us to re-launch our ‘Welcome Home, Heroes’ programming as well as VET Tran,” noted President & CEO Len Pagano. “Together with supporters like Primerica, Lockheed Martin, Enterprise and Kaiser Permanente, we’ll start to evaluated what we can do – and get it started.”
