SafeAmerica Foundation has met with District Manager Ron Goodbub… to evaluate what can be done in Georgia to help all veterans. SafeAmerica CEO Len Pagano met with Mr. Goodbub… and was impressed how he and Congressman Rich McCormick are ‘serving’ veterans… and also considering what SafeAmerica can also partner.
SafeAmerica’s CEO Len Pagano noted that helping homeless veterans has been ‘coming up’ for SafeAmerica. And, more meetings are being planned to involve volunteers who can drive ‘VET Tran’ and get rides for medical and mental care. Thanks to Highland Rivers Behavioral Health, it just re-affirmed SafeAmerica to offer rides… and to work in a series of northern counties in Georgia.
“Thanks to Ron Goodbub, I’ll stay-in-touch more this spring and summer… and plan another meeting to help veterans,” Pagano said. “We’re also proud of what Highland Rivers has asked us to do – and we’ll involve more Knights of Columbus who have also driven some rides for veterans – and didn’t charge any costs.”
SafeAmerica and other non-profits will be involved in a meeting in a few months. And, the Carter Center – in Atlanta – has offered discussion (and a potential meeting it could offer for SafeAmerica). VETV will also seek more video reports… and we’ll see what we can chat with VFW, GA Vietnam Veterans Alliance, Johns Creek Veterans Association and a host of other non-profits that were chatting with us. We’ll also thank Puckett EMS for offering us ambulances… and how AMR is also considering more (in DeKalb County with SafeAmerica). For more details, watch more LinkedIn and safeamerica.org website… plus for video reports on YouTube for SNN.
